Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his initial title since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface from spring of that year.
The win also indicates the Russian has won 21 championships at twenty-one different tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my children at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the first title I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, comprising in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching play style and recurring reactions on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was concluded.
However the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
The champion came back from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the final five points to take the lead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
The opponent saved 4 early-game opportunities in a close third set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, the winner earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
