Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
